1. Method of use and result judgment

Collect the urine of the pig, open the aluminum foil bag of this product and suck the urine with a straw, drop 3 to 4 drops in the (S) hole of the test strip, and then wait for 5 minutes to check the test result.

Positive: A clear red line appears in the detection area (T) and control area (C), indicating that the tested pig is pregnant.

Negative: Only a red line appears in the control area (C), indicating that the tested pig is not yet pregnant.

Also, if (T) has a clear red line, and (C) has a red line but is not clear (very light in color), the tested pig is not yet pregnant.

Invalid: There is no red line in the control area (C), indicating that the test failed or the test strip is invalid, please re-test.

remind:

When the sow is pregnant, the two red lines of T&C are very clear. If the red line (C) is not obvious and the color is lighter, it means that the pig is not pregnant.

2. Selection of test time

According to the change rule of progesterone in the sow's estrous cycle, the behavior of the pig should be closely observed 19, 20, 21, and 22 days after mating. Once the pig is found to be in estrus, it should be detected immediately. If the test result is negative, it means that the pig is not pregnant. If the test result is positive, please retest the next day, and the retest result shall prevail.

If the pig does not appear in estrus during this period, the 23rd day is the last detection date, please perform the detection on the 23rd day after mating. If a second estrous follow-up visit is required, it can be tested around the 40th day after mating.

In order to obtain accurate test results, please strictly follow the above time for testing.

3. Principle

The endocrine changes during pig pregnancy, among which the change of progesterone (P4) is the most obvious. Progesterone is a steroid hormone secreted by the corpus luteum and placenta. The content increases day by day during the estrous cycle and reaches the peak on the 15th day Then it dropped, and dropped to 0ng/ml on the 19th day, maintained for about 1 day, and then gradually increased. After the pig is conceived, the progesterone continues to maintain a high level, and the urine progesterone reaches 0.05 μg/ml in 26-30 days. This product uses progesterone as the detection target, and the progesterone dose is used to judge whether pregnancy is true.
